Avner Samuel

Avner Samuel is a Dallas Culinary Icon and pioneer of Southwest Cuisine. Born in Israel, he started cooking at the age of 13 and graduated from the prestigious Tadmor School of Culinay Arts in Jerusalem. Following that, he trained for 5 years in France at the renowned La Varenne School of Culinary Arts in Paris and Lenotre Culinary School in Plaisir. The youngest Executive Chef of the Mansion on Turtle Creek, he was the first chef to earn 5 stars. Samuel was the Chef Owner of 17 award-winning restaurants, including Nosh and Aurora, which garnered 5 stars from the Dallas Morning News and the AAA Four Diamond Award. Gourmet Magazine wrote that Aurora is "where to eat now in 30 American cities", and Men's Health stated that it is "one of 11 restaurants worldwide that mean business".Chef Samuel has been featured in numerous publications including Time, Esquire, The New York Times, Gourmet Magazine, Men's Health, Texas Monthly, Modern Luxury, Dallas Morning News and D Magazine.
