Jason Routzahn

Chef Jason Routzahn has had an amazing culinary adventure here and abroad. His first professional job was when he was just 16 years old, washing dishes. Over the next 24 years he built his skills while working in professional kitchens and studying at the Art Institute of Tampa. Traveling through New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland and Germany he learned a wide range of flavors and styles that influence his idea of what great food is: intense, dynamic, balanced, clean, bright and simple.

Returning stateside, Jason opened The Silver Maple Restaurant & Wine Bar in the DC area and was Executive Chef and CEO of JPR Enterprises. Living in the Big Easy was a dream of his and it was realized when he moved there in 2014. Working for the Karno Company, he ran multiple restaurants in the French Quarter before rolling the dice as Chef for Caesar's Entertainment at Harrah's Casino.

Now, Chef Jason is leading the local food scene by bringing the ultimate dining experience to Royal Sonesta New Orleans. Putting his spin on the property restaurants with newly developed dishes and various local ingredients with a knowledgeable and friendly staff, the stage is set for truly unique and flavorful food in the property's dining restaurants. Jason enthused, "I could not be more energized over the direction of Royal Sonesta New Orleans....and I believe we have created a menu that will offer something for everyone, to provide great food while having a memorable experience at Royal Sonesta New Orleans".
