Karen Carrier's food is in your face - bold and colorful. She's influenced by the sun-drenched cuisines of Jamaica, New Orleans, Mexico and her Tennessee roots. She's traveled to Jamaica, Oaxaca, Israel, New Orleans, the Bayou Country, Spain, eating street food, learning from home cooks and squatters on the beach. She brings world concepts, chiles, and sauces back to her home in Memphis to create her art in her many Southern kitchens.
